The main airport of Slovakia, Milan Stefanik Airport, was opened in 1951 and it is located in Bratislava. Indeed, it is smaller than the airports of other European countries. Nevertheless, this airport is equipped with a modern security system and equipment, which allowed to increase passenger traffic to 2,000,000 people per year.
On its territory there are comfortable waiting rooms, currency exchange offices and other additional objects. The first terminal serves flights to and from the Schengen countries, the second – flights to and from the Russian Federation, Ukraine and other countries not included in the list of the Schengen agreement. The third zone is designed for air cargo.
